Socio-Therapeutic Day Room

 

Ongoing activities of the Sociotherapeutic Day Room "The Little Prince". 25 children from the North Prague at the age of  7-14 years of age receive alternative opportunity for crative and free from harmful influences leisure, play and learn.

Sociotherapeutic Day Room "Little Prince" is organizing classes for children on the  Ząbkowska 4 street from April 2008. It has at the moment a new local, well equipped and adapted to the needs.

The purpose of creation of the Day Room is to assist and stimulate the healthy development of children, often from dysfunctional family upbringing. Day Room promotes the development of children's interests, trust in themselves and adults, respect for others and the acquisition of constructive leisure time management habits.

All children can play in the theater, to gain knowledge during the tours to cultural sites and get help with homework. Some of the children attending the classes is included in therapeutic effects that are to contribute to their better adaptation and help correct improper behavior.

Stay in the Day Room is voluntary and preceded by a trial period, which makes hearing the other children, carers and the principles of the resort and theme activities conducted therein.

Families of children are given free advice and consultation. It works well as a program of food aid and material.

Besides the applications of probation officers and social workers, applications for admission to Day Room can submit their own parents. The organizers hope that each child finds a friendly atmosphere in Day Room, allowing for learning and education to entertainment, which will contribute to its development and future prosperity.
